WHERE THE MOUNTAINS MEET THE

GRAPES

China Creek Vineyard, is nestled in the Sierra Foothills off Hwy 50, in the historic town of Placerville, CA.  China Creek was first established in 2003 by Bob and Kay Williamson, whose sole purpose was to grow the finest wine grapes possible. Bob, whose dream was to make fine wine, accomplished that feat a few years later when he was awarded medals from Wine Makers Magazine for his wines. He now sells the grapes grown to local wineries.

ABOUT Us

Bob and Kay Williamson purchased 110 acres of undeveloped land in Placerville, CA with a vision to grow the finest wine making grapes possible.  Land was cleared, vines were selected and planted and the dream came true.  They chose the finest land on the property to plant the vineyard. China Creek Vineyards was named after the year around creek that runs through its property.  The Williamson's built their home, along with barn, work shed and additional housing for workers.

Realizing that they would love to make some wine for his family and friends, Bob jumped into the wine making business.  It was quite a venture with the first harvesting. He, his wife and one assistant harvested and prepared the grapes, turning their labor of love into wine.

Bob and kay continue to make fine wine and supply grapes to local growers for their use.
